Rail joints in traffic surfaces are subject to exceptional mechanical and dynamic loads. In addition to temperature-related longitudinal movements of the rail, high traffic frequencies, vibrations as well as recurring point and impact loads act on the joint area. This results in increased requirements regarding elasticity, adhesion and long-term durability of the sealing compounds used.

GusjoinT® develops and supplies polymer-modified, bitumen-based products for rail joint sealing, specifically designed and approved for filling and sealing joints between rails and adjacent surfaces such as asphalt, concrete or paving.

Normative Basis

GusjoinT® rail joint sealing compounds are manufactured and applied in accordance with the German technical regulation TL Fug-StB 25.
This regulation defines the requirements for material properties, performance characteristics and the suitability of rail joint sealing compounds for use in traffic surface construction.

Hot-applied, bitumen-based rail joint sealing compound

Polymer-modified sealing compound for filling joints between rails and adjacent surfaces such as asphalt, concrete or paving. The compound is elastically adjusted and designed for rail-related movements as well as vibration-loaded joints.

Application:
Rail joints in road and light rail systems, rails installed in asphalt, concrete and paving surfaces with normal to increased traffic and vibration exposure.

GusjoinT®-R Ultra

Hot-applied, highly elastic rail joint sealing compound

Polymer-modified, bitumen-based sealing compound for filling joints between rails and adjacent surfaces such as asphalt, concrete or paving. The compound is designed for large joint movements and above-average vibration exposure.

Application:
Rail joints with increased joint width movements and high vibration loads, particularly in heavily trafficked traffic surfaces.

GusjoinT® joint sealants are supplied in siliconised, anti-adhesive cardboard packaging.
The packaging allows fast and clean material removal directly on site.
